Abstract

A real-time feedback concept, applied during physiokinetic exercises to correct scoliosis, is presented. It is based on a system called AUSCAN which displays online a 3-D description of the body topography superimposed with the instantaneous barycentric plumbline. This information allows the proper correction of the back morphology by reducing the moments flexing the spine on the frontal plane, balancing the weight distribution, and derotating of the trunk.
