Abstract
We report a case of non convulsive status epilepticus characterized by gustatory hallucinations and fear in a 11-year-old female affected by temporal lobe epilepsy with history of febrile convulsions and mild mental retardation. Ictal EEG showed sub-continuous high delta waves on temporal and occipital regions of right side. Non convulsive status epilepticus was stopped by lorazepam (4 mg i.m. in two hours) with resolution of focal delta sequences. Risperidone was necessary to control agitation and fear in the post-ictal phase.
