We made a review of the case reports of two Infectious Diseases Units on pulmonary infections in patients with AIDS caused by unusual pathogens or by common pathogens in these patients presenting in an atypical manner. These observations have been much more frequent in the last two years, reflecting a trend common in all centers concerned in follow-up of HIV-positive patients.
