Abstract
Nutritional assessment and anemia were evaluated in 109 patients who underwent Billroth II gastrectomy for benign pathology, over a 13 year period. No serious alterations were observed. Although loss of weight occurred in about 50% of the patients, malnutrition was modest and limited to only a few patients.
