Abstract
The Authors show the results of a study on 25 patients with chronic obstructive arteriopathy of lower limbs at the 2nd Fontaine level, which have been treated with picotamide over 3 months. All patients have been examined with Doppler and platelet aggregation tests before the pharmacological treatment. The same tests have been done again 1 and 3 months after the beginning of the treatment. The Authors have observed a good clinical response to the drug, with an improvement of both the walking autonomy and the Pressure Index value, a moderate reduction of the platelet aggregation, and the absence of both drug rejection and alteration of renal and hepatic functionality.
