Abstract
Lesions of the nails have been examined in a group of 250 patients (170 m, 80 f) who had undergone renal transplants. The patients were assessed after one year of functioning implanted kidney so as to exclude any nail changes consequent on the previous uraemic condition. Results confirm the well-known importance of iatrogenic and infective aetiological factors in nail pathology.
