Abstract

Oral vaccination of rabbits with living or inactivated enteropathogenic strains of E.coli produced an antibody response detectable either in sera or feces. Titers of coproantibodies were relatively higher than those of circulating antibodies. During immunization the large majority of rabbits developed increasing amounts of specific IgA in the intestine.
