The most important contributions in the literature on extramammary Paget's disease are briefly reviewed; one case of extramammary Paget's disease of the vulva is presented and discussed. Histological differentiations from Hutchinson's melanotic freckle and malignant melanoma (so-called precox melanoma) are considered. Our observations lead us to believe that Paget's disease of the vulva is a distinct clinico-pathological entity, and a careful diagnosis is founded on histological findings.
