Abstract

The Goldschmidt-Thew method for the counting of parakeratotic cells was adopted in a between-patients single blind trial of a corticosteroid salicylic ointment and its components in 30 patients with psoriasis. The results, flanked by close biometric analysis, showed that this preparation was statistically more effective as expressed by changes in the cell counts and the final clinical assessment.
