Abstract

We studied the effect of digital stimulation on magnetic motor evoked potentials (MEPs) in normal and in two subjects with benign epilepsy with central-temporal spikes and 'extreme SEPs'. The conditioned MEPs in the two epileptic patient's showed an abnormal facilitation with a similar time course of the scalp paroxysmal activity evoked by the electrical digital stimulation. The method can be used, in our opinion, to test the brain excitability in epileptic patients.
