Abstract
Aqueous outflow resistance is the main pathogenetic mechanism of primary open angle glaucoma. Therefore the use of drugs that facilitate aqueous humor outflow should still represent the most specific treatment of this form of glaucoma. Thanks to the availability of new pharmacological formulations this strategy seems to obtain more consents also for the better compliance. The Authors report the results of personal clinical trials.
