Abstract

Our results do not confirm the findings initially reported by Brugarolas and Gosalvez in spite of the similar drug dose and schedule employed. In addition, serious neurologic toxic effects were encountered in four patients. Both neurotoxicity and lack of efficacy have been noted by other investigators. In view of the disagreement with regard to efficacy and of the serious neurologic toxicity, we do not recommend thioproline as an antineoplastic drug in man.
