On the basis of the good results previously obtained with oral piribedil, the therapeutic action and the tolerability of the injectable form and of the sustained-action oral form were studied. The subjects were 48 patients with obstructive arteriosclerosis of the lower limbs and with Raynaud's disease, some of whom had previously had a lumbar sympathectomy. An open clinical trial was performed with the two new forms, compared with bencyclane in injection and tablet form. The results are significant with regard to activity and tolerability, showing that the preparation is one of the best in the treatment of peripheral artery disease.
