Research output: Contribution to journalArticle

The Authors describe a case of plantar tungiasis in a 38 year old patient who had travelled in Tanzania a month before coming under clinical observation. Although there are a few cases of tungiasis in recent literature, it is still important to add a further warning to those who travel so that they avoid behaviour which may cause infection. lt is also important for the physician to have a fair knowledge of tropical pathologies: only in this case will he/she avoid sending a patient to hospital with a wrong preliminary diagnosis.
