Intrathoracic lipomas are rare tumours, frequently asymptomatic and incidentally observed. Among them, pleural lipomas are the rarest, generally arise from the parietal pleura and most frequently are monolateral. We describe a case of bilateral pleural lipoma in a beta-thalassemic man, and a typical case with monolateral location. In both cases the tumour involved the parietal pleura.
