Abstract
21 cases of post-traumatic fat embolism were treated by mechanical ventilation, corticosteroids and poly-unsaturated phosphatidylcholine (EPL). The importance of this treatment is stressed. EPL, in particular, improves the respiratory status and prevents pulmonary damage which is very often the cause of death in these patients.
