Predictive fuzzy controllers for drug delivery

Abstract

The paper presents an approach to the long term problem of controlling drug delivery based on a class of Fuzzy Controllers that utilizes as input variables the predictions on the values of the controlled variable(s). This class of controllers is useful when the prediction model is not completely reliable. Furthermore, this controllers provide qualitative predictions on future patient behaviours.
