Abstract

Due to the development of mass screening using mammography, an increasing number of non palpable lesions are discovered. Among these lesions, some require a diagnostic surgical biopsy. Preoperative localization facilitates the surgical procedure by reducing the time and scarring due to the surgical biopsy. In this article, we describe the currently used technique at the Gustave-Roussy Institute.
