Primary cutaneous cryptococcosis in an immunocompetent pigeon keeper

Abstract

We report the case of a pigeon keeper who presented with a post- traumatic lesion of his third right finger. Cryprococci were found in the lesion in the absence of any other underlying disorder. Treatment with oral itraconazole achieved clinical resolution of the lesion.
