Clinical characteristics of Steinert's myotonic dystrophy are reported with the aim of designing an appropriate rehabilitation program. Evolution of postural control and function are examined. Principles of exercise treatment address maintenance of articular range of motion and muscle function as well as prevention of secondary damage. Results of isokinetic training are reported for two patients.
