Abstract
This study was aimed to clarify the therapeutic potential of the prostatic UroLume Wallstent in the treatment of selected patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia. Criteria for selecting the suitable candidate, with particular emphasis on patient's symptoms and prostate morphology are reported. The currently performed surgical technique is described. Suggested postoperative medical treatment and the follow-up schedule are reported. The prostatic UroLume Wallstent is a safe and effective minimally invasive procedure for carefully selected patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia.
