Abstract
Tuberculosis is an important cause of morbidity and mortality in the world. A child with tuberculosis represents a sentinel event that must induce us to seek the source of contagion among the adults that surround him. The diagnosis of tuberculosis in the child is often difficult and is the result of a puzzle, the pieces of which are represented by epidemiological information, clinics, radiology and microbiology. Still today the prophylaxis for tuberculosis is the principal tool for the control of the illness. The onset of MRD, that is also spreading in Italy, presents notable therapeutic difficulty both for the prevention and for the cure of the illness.
