QSPR modeling of the flory-huggins parameter in terms of polymer "nanosegments"

Abstract

To model the Flory-Huggins parameter, polymer molecules are presented in terms of a chain fragment that contains a number of monomer units such that the summed length of involved bonds exceeds 1000 nanometers ("nanosegment" ). As compared with the model based on descriptors calculated from monomer units of polymers, this representation is shown to improve the statistical quality of modeling of the Flory-Huggins parameter.
