Abstract
The psychologic and social problems of patients with epilepsy have been recognized for centuries. The Quality off Life in epilepsy instruments were designed for people with a wide range of epilepsy severities, including those with mild forms of the disease in order to evaluate physical, mental and social health of patients. In the present study we evaluated Quality of Life (QOL), in a selected group of patients who underwent epilepsy surgery, by two auto-administrated questionnaires (SF-36; BASIS-32). A significant improvement of QOL was found at follow-up six months after surgery at BASIS-32 scale. No significant results were found at SF-36.
