Thirty ureteral unilateral substitutions and 5 bilateral ones by an ileal loop, were performed from 1970 to 1979 (23 partial and 17 total). In 5 cases the operative procedure was complicated by a renal calculosis without dynamic or mechanical situations evidenced (i.e. stenosis), and interfering in the calculogenesis. In 4 patients the calculosis was a pyelo-calyceal stagborn one, and in one patient it was a lower calyceal one; 3 patients evidenced calculosis before the ureteral substitution. The causes of the calculosis are carefully studied as well as the procedures in order to prevent them.
