Abstract

The results of this study indicate, on the basis of the estimate of reproducibility of the WT in patients with CHF, that the minimum change necessary to allow 99% confidence that a real change has occurred is about 10% of the average WT performance, using the averaged results of 2 consecutive tests at baseline and at each follow-up control. Replicate measurements can be performed on the same day, thus confirming the inherent simplicity of the test.
