Restoration of colo-rectal continuity. Description of two cases. Two cases of late colorectal continuity restoration, 22 and 6 years after emergency colostomy, without immediate and long-term surgical complications are reported. Good functional results are showed. Surgical procedure is easy and almost fully safe: however it is necessary to be sure of the rectal stump and sphyncterial apparatus integrity prior to surgery. This experience, by reducing the role of time factor, allow's to extend the indications to reconstructive procedures in order to restore the anatomical and physiological conditions and the best quality of life.
