Abstract
We report three patients with ring chromosome 20 syndrome. They have epilepsy with partial seizures and non-convulsive status epilepticus (NCSE). EEG shows epileptic abnormalities predominantly on the frontal regions. In our cases, epilepsy improved during the years, in particular NCSE episodes. The severity of epilepsy and mental retardation seem to be correlated with the degree of ring 20 mosaicism.
