Scintigraphy in the problem of metastases from cancer of the larynx

A study is presented of the use of scintigraphy in the diagnosis of metastases of laryngeal carcinoma in the cervical lymph nodes, a diagnosis that affects the therapeutic tactics. The methods of lymph-node scintigraphy and tumor scintigraphy are described; the authors have obtained the best results with techniques using mercury bichloride and gallium-67 citrate.
