Abstract
The sebaceoma is a distinctive benign neoplasm of adnexal epithelium with differentiation towards sebaceous unit, which was first described under this name by Troy and Ackeman in 1984. This neoplasm has distinctive clinical but specially histologic features from the other sebaceous neoplasms of the skin: sebaceous hyperplasia and sebaceous adenoma, seborrheic keratosis with sebaceous differentiation, basal-cell carcinoma with sebaceous differentiation and sebaceous carcinoma. We describe this case, not only for the histopathologic differential diagnosis with the other sebaceous cutaneous neoplasms, but also for a particular abundance of duct and cystic structures within the tumor, with a prevalence of this duct and cystic component. Until now this histologic feature in a sebaceoma has not been yet described, for this reason we present this case.
