Abstract
The purposes of intrarenal surgery and the modalities for its realization are reported. Sex investigations are of fundamental importance for preoperative evaluation: abdominal radiography, urography, pyelography (if indicated), computed tomography, extended and selective arteriography, and phlebography. A dynamic study of the excretory tracts must also be carried out in order to evaluate exactly the excretory changes of the upper urinary tract caused by the lesion in each case. After a critical examination of data, the most suitable surgical technique for solving the problem of the pathology is selected.
