Abstract

Spasm seizures, previously regarded as peculiar of West Syndrome (WS), have been reported in a variety of syndromes, 7 patients with methylmalonic acidemia-homocistinuria (MMA/HC) have been observed in our Department. Two of these patients presented spasm seizures without hypoarrythmia; furthermore, seizures were first observed after 12 mo. of age in one child. In conclusions, the 2 patients reported had spasm seizures, and not a WS, associated with MMA/HC.
