Abstract

From 1990 to 1995 in 38 patients aged 17-81 yrs admitted to our Institute diagnosis of psychogenic seizures was established on the basis of personal history, direct clinical observation and video-EEG recordings. Eight patients presented epileptic seizures and psychogenic seizures(PS). Clinical evolution of PS has a good prognosis and our studies demonstrated disappearance or reduction of the seizures in 65% of cases.
