Abstract
A case of recurrent subluxation of the shoulder is presented. Its interest lies in the fact that the patient, by using special manoeuvres, was able to dislocate his shoulder either anteriorly or posteriorly. This posed a problem for the surgeon - should he use the anterior or the posterior route for capsuloplasty of the shoulder joint?
