Abstract
To provide data on the stability of the dichotic listening test, 91 right handed college students have been tested twice. The test retest correlation was significant; the ear preference of the subjects was coincident in the two tests in 70% of the cases. The relatively high percentage (30%) of inconsistency of the results in the same subjects suggests some caution in using this technique as a measure of ear preference.
