Abstract
The authors present the state of art in the development and application of a technique which studies the regional density of the chest at tomographic level. The method is based on the detection with a gamma camera of photons from an intense external source of radiation, scattered at 90 degree by the tissues of the chest. The possibilities of the method as a tool for object recognition in industrial applications have also been investigated.
