Abstract
The acquired copper deficiency may assume the aspect of subacute combined degeneration due to vitamin B12 deficiency. The MRI of the cervical spinal cord may show an increase of the signal in T2 sequencies, at the level of posterior columns. An early diagnosis and the oral supplementation of copper may prevent the progressive deterioration of the neurological conditions.
