Abstract
Successful management of a case of ileo colic aganglionosis in an eight year old boy with the Lester Martin operation is reported. Stress is laid on certain unusual features of the case, such as the long survival and the good immediate surgical result. This was obtained by preserving and using a large part of the agangliar colon, up to half of the transverse colon.
