Abstract
Twelve Kaposi's sarcoma patients were evaluated with 67Ga-citrate scanning, in an attempt to demonstrate the coexistence of lymphoma or other malignancies. Increased uptake was observed in 2 cases; in a patient two lymphomatous proiliferations namely a rhino-pharyngeal and a mediastinic parahilar, were demonstrated; in another patient Hodgkin's disease was detected with 67Ga-citrate in left inguinal region. The authors consider that 67Ga-citrate scanning is a useful aid in investigating and detecting lymphoma or other malignancies associated with Kaposi's sarcoma.
