Abstract
Eighteen consecutive cases of testicular tumors in children between 10 days and 6 yr of life are reported. Histopathologic findings and clinical features are analyzed, stressing the importance of accurate diagnosis for the proper management of the tumors. The tumors were seen in the years 1954 to 1973; the histologic diagnosis was: sarcoma, embryonic carcinoma (3 cases), reticulosarcoma, teratoma (5 cases), rhabdomyosarcoma, adenocarcinoma, fibroma, fibrolipoma, fibrosarcoma, epidemoid cyst, lymphangioma, and a case of splenogonadal fusion. In 3 of the cases no orchidectomy was carried out.
