We tested the effects of Topiramate and Levetiracetam on 325 patients affected by epileptic simple/complex partial seizures, with and without secondary generalization. The relationship of the seizure evolution with: 1) etiology, type and baseline frequency of the seizures, 2) doses of the drugs and 3) association with CBZ, were studied. The results showed some different effects between the two drugs which may be correlated to their differmechanism of action.
