Abstract
In a group of 1800 out-patients, we have evaluated all the epileptic subjects who had their first seizure within the period of 10-19 years. We have found 343 patients (19%). Primary Generalized Epilepsies are 49.5% of this group. In partial epilepsy, 61% lack any etiological factor (idiopathic). If we consider together generalized primary epilepsies and partial idiopathic forms, 80% of the epilepsies in the adolescence show no lesional factors. In partial epilepsies with organic etiology (39%) and in partial idiopathic epilepsies (61%) we have evaluated the following parameters: semeiology of the seizures, age of onset, familiarity, gravity of the illness, in order to set the evolution and the prognosis.
