Abstract
By a short review of the psychodynamic literature, the Authors (considering the high frequency of bidden pathology in brothers of subjects requiring psychological help) aim to enucleate significant characteristics of brotherly relationship, referring particularly to its normal development in the psychodynamic-psychoanalytic standpoint. Authors who directly or indirectly dealt with such topics are reviewed, starting from S. Freud to nowadays.
