The influence of desipramine on the sensitivity and accumulation of noradrenaline in the isolated tail artery of the rat

Abstract

Desipramine increases the sensitivity of the isolated tail artery of the rat to extraluminal noradrenaline much more than to intraluminal noradrenaline. Accumulation of radioactivity after infusions with dl-7-3H-noradrenaline is inhibited when noradrenaline is given by the extraluminal route and is unaffected when noradrenaline is given into the lumen.
