Abstract

Following the evolution of clinical purpose and research issues, neuropsychological assessment of patients with epilepsy has changed over time, acquiring multiple psychometric instruments. In relation to the need to use similar instruments allowing comparable results, opinions and experiences developed by the Epilepsy Centres of Lombardia have been compared. This paper reports the neuropsychological battery proposed to assess patients with partial epileptic seizures. Its main aim is a screening evaluation which might identify specific problems and guide the choose of more specific tasks.
