A technique adopted for the reconstruction of the cervical oesophagus removed during the course of radical anular pharyngo-laryngectomy. This technique is based on the preventive preparation of a tubular deltopectoral section with skin on the inside. When the incision is made, the tube is rotated to replace the missing oesophagal section. Subsequently the surplus parts are trimmed and shaped. The technique may be carried out before or after radical anular pharyngo-laryngectomy is performed. This procedure shortens the period of naso-gastric feeding and allows the patients a better quality of life during the disease free period.
