Abstract

12 patients with immunologically mediated diseases were treated with ALG, alone or in combination. Tolerance was good. Individual case reports are discussed. Emphasis is placed on the duration of ALG induced remissions, as well as on its favorable effect in humorally mediated autoimmune diseases. The absence of notable side effects, especially with the more recent and refined preparations, is stressed.
