Various methods have been proposed in order to treat diverticulum of the female urethra. Most authors prefer carrying out a complete excision of the diverticulum, although both surgical and endoscopic alternatives have been studied. This paper presents a revision of the literature on this subject and also a study of 20 patients with urethral diverticulum who were treated successfully.
