Abstract
The aim of this article is to focus on three common and controversial ophthalmological problems paediatricians face nowadays: myopia, with all the relevant clinical aspects and the proposed treatments; vernal conjunctivitis, stressing the pathogenetical factors, clinical course and pharmacological old and new approaches; congenital nasolacrimal duct obstruction, pointing out the most recent ideas about surgical timing. The data reported are based on the evidences in the literature and on the personal experience of the Author.
