Abstract
Actinic keratoses are premalignant skin lesions recently considered as real carcinoma in situ. Several physical and local treatments can be used with different efficacy and adverse events. In this article, we consider the efficacy and tolerability of 3% diclofenac in 2.5% hyaluronan gel in 20 patients with extensive and often relapsing lesions. The treatment was well tolerated; only 2 patients interrupted the protocol, the former due to irritant contact dermatitis, the latter for non-compliance. In the remaining subjects, we observed a complete or significant remission in 44.4% and 38.8% of the patients, respectively, with a clinical benefit in more than 80% (83.2%) of the patients.
